What lurks in the woods? Only the game cam knows!

We tend to run into interesting game up here once or twice a year. The occasional moose or a black bear trying as hard as possible to get away from us. We thought it would be fun to put up a few game cams to see what we were missing.

How many mountain lions are in this picture?

How many grizzlies are in this one?

This young buck did some nice posing.

The mountain lions and grizzlies were a nice thing to see. Usually the photos are all deer with the occasional coyote sneaking by.

  1. Hello John & Susan! We can't get your lion & bear pics to come up, we are just getting the file names... We would love to see those. The young buck is gorgeous, but then so are Carly & Jake! Looking good up there in Idaho!

    1. Pictures should be fixed. It sounds like the UP has been fun. It's one of the best spots we've travelled to.

    2. Yep, we see 2 lions and 2 bears! wow! And they are in the same spot. That would be some party if they all arrived at the same time... Great pics, please keep them coming.

    1. It must be a mother with two young ones. I don't think they hang out together as adults. At least we don't have any tigers to go with the lions and bears!

  3. Wow! I actually thought you might be joking about the cougar and bear because in small pic mode, I couldn't see them but then I clicked through and how cool were those shots!! The deer is adorable, I would swear the deer knew the camera was there. "I'm ready for my close up Mr. DeMille." Thanks for sharing these.

    1. The deer cam is just a basic $30 camera from Amazon and it took the best shot. The cam with the lion and bear is an expensive one with all the bells and whistles that a friend loaned us. I think it can even do video and sound.
